OFFICIATING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT CAMP

Dear USA Hockey Official:

NYSAHA will be hosting an officiating development camp at SUNY Oswego in Oswego, New York
from July 8 through July 11, 2012. The camp is open to all completely registered officials in the New York District and is instructional in nature, but non-competitive.

The camp staff includes some of the top instructors in our district, with experience at the professional and collegiate levels. Camp highlights include classroom sessions and two ice sessions during the day. Power skating and mechanics of the two and three official systems are emphasized.


SUNY Oswego has provided the use of the Student Center which houses ice, classrooms, locker rooms, training and weight rooms. The residence hall and dining hall are each next door. Camp staff, security, medical personnel and resident assistants will be available in the residence hall.

Staff members and a chaperone supervise the officials throughout the camp. Security personnel are on site as are medical trainers. Should a medical need arise, theOswego Hospital is less than one mile away.

You can attend the camp at a nominal cost ($165.00) which includes room & board (4 days and 3 nights). Those requiring special meals can be accommodated.

Camp applications are available on the NY Officials Web site (www.nysho.org). Please complete your application and send it along with your registration fee to the address below. The camp is open to the first fifty officials to email a “Statement of Intent” to mscpaonice@aol.com and follow up with a mailed application and payment within 14 days upon acceptance. Please make checks payable to “NYSAHA”.  

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations prior to the cut off date of June 1, 2012 will be partially refunded and charged an administrative fee of $40.00. Cancellations after the cut off date of June 1, 2012 are non-refundable.

If you are among the fifty accepted participants, you will be sent an agenda and instructions. A waiting list will be developed if application numbers exceed fifty.
